Living Room: (before, during & after...)
We had a few things to do to this room! We first tore out a drop ceiling and ended up taking the plaster ceiling out as well as it was sagging a bit. This was quite a mess! After hauling that to the dump we tore out the very ugly orange/brown carpet. Hardwood floors covered the dining room and most of the living room. A small portion was planking. So we refinished the hardwood (LOTS of work :) ) and then re-drywalled the ceiling with the help of Jason (thanks J!) - Dad assisted with new wiring for a 3 way switch & fan. Then we painted, installed fixtures and had the small area recarpeted where there wasn't hardwood. *sigh* I get exhausted just thinking about it again!
