Fizzling Milk Bath
© Pat Storer at Skinny Dippin
 11-part goats milk powder
3 parts dry milk
1 part citric acid
1 part cornstarch
1/2 part borax
2 parts Epsom salts
2 parts baking soda
2 parts rock salt crystals
Few drops of FDA color

Blend all in a Ziploc. For each 2 oz. of mix, I put in 1 ml. Herbal essential oils. This is milliliter not part on the essential oil. It is not very much. You can substitute fragrance oils or other essential oils but will have to use judgment on how much. Remember also that not fragrance or essential oils are sensible to use in baths. Check with someone who knows if you are not sure first since a person will be soaking in them.

Note: You can make in the quantity you desire: (example a 'part' can be one tsp., one T., one cup, one bucketful, etc.)

Herbal Milk Bath
 1 cup cornstarch
2 cups dry milk powder
2 T. of your favorite herbs

Combine in blender. Use 1/2 cup to hot bath.

Lavender Milk Bath
 1 c. powdered milk
2-3 drops lavender oil

Mix and add to bath.

New Moon Milk Bath
2 cups dry nonfat powered milk
1/2 cup Epsom salts
1/2 cup baking soda
6 drops sandalwood oil
5 drops vanilla fragrance oil
4 drops gardenia fragrance oil
4 drops orange oil

Mix all ingredients together and pour into a container. To Use: Pour 1 cup into the bath as you fill the tub and stir well.

Oatmeal Milk Bath
 1/4 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. powdered milk
1 T. hazelnut oil
6 drops lavender oil

Put oats in muslin bag. Add the rest of the ingredients directly to bath.

Silk Milk Bath
© Marie Browning's book "Beautiful Handmade Natural Soaps"
1 cup instant powdered skim milk
1 tablespoon powdered orris root
3/4 cup Dead sea salt(best to use fine salt, or ground up in a blender
10 drops Jasmine oil
7 drops Ylang-Ylang oil
5 drops Bergamot oil

Put the first three ingredients into a bowl and mix well. Scoop out about 1/2 cup and place in a smaller bowl. Add your essential or fragrance oils one at a time and mix well after each one. Add the scented salts to the rest of the remaining salts, and mix well. This recipe doesn't call for coloring, and after you mix it up you will see why. It is a beautiful blend just the way it is. Store in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid.
